Soil fungi were collected from Korean soils, from July 1990 to August 1991. Thirty three species were identified, among which nine species were newly confirmed to Korea and registered here wi&h descriptions. These fungi were Penicillium aurantio-candidum, P. echinulatum, P. griseofulvum, P. puberulum, P. rubrum, P. rugulosum, P. spinulosum, P. variabile, and P. viridicatum.
